SCREAMIN’ FROM TE CHEAP SEATS by Leo Haggerty PFWA
SCREAMIN’ FROM THE CHEAP SEATS. Who am I bellowing at today? It’s at the people who are heading to the synagogue over Passover or the church during Holy Week especially on Easter Sunday and it’s more of a very loud Public Service Announcement because it deals with traveling to and from those religious services.
This is one of the few years where both religious holidays, and I’m referring to Passover and Easter Sunday, do not overlap. This still applies even when this happens during these major Jewish and Christian days of worship.
When you are going to and from both events keep in mind that it will be the days of highest attendance. That means you’ll have people that only show up once or twice a year and are not familiar with Rule #1 when it comes to arriving by automobile.
Rule # 1 is The Friendly Driver Rule, and it applies to entering or exiting the parking lot. When two lanes come together, one goes from one lane then one from the other. To simplify it’s you go then I go.
Don’t be “that person” who’s in such a rush to get to and from synagogue or church that you forget Rule #1. Be The Friendly Driver and let that vehicle go in and I’ll bet the next car lets you go. Makes for a friendlier experience on these holiest of Holy Days. Amen
