SCREAMIN' FROM THE CHEAP SEATS. So who am I shouting at today? I'm going after the NBA along with the NBA Players Association over the issue of what is commonly called load management.

For those who are unaware of what this entails let me enlighten you. It's, and I quote, "a strategy of resting healthy players to reduce their physiological and mental stress, aiming to improve their overall health and performance, especially during the long and demanding regular season and playoffs."

Can you fathom an NFL player going to his coach and saying that he needs to take a few games off to reduce the stress they're experiencing? Can you imagine an NHL player telling his coach he has to take off multiple games so they can play better? Can you contemplate a MLB player sharing with his manager that he needs to take a series or two off because the season is just too grueling?

There are two chances of any of those above scenarios coming to fruition. Slim and none and Slim lives in Amarillo so the question that begs to be asked is why is it happening in the NBA?

The most obvious answer that screams to me is SOFT. All your asking a professional basketball player to do is perform for 48 minutes 82 times a year over a 7 month span. Not work construction 40 hours a week.

Here's a suggestion and it's been endorse by Hall of Famer Magic Johnson and numerous other former NBA players that the NBA plus the NBAPA needs to take under advisement. How about just suit up and play when you're not injured. Enough said.

Book it Dano!
