TAMPA BAY SPORTS SCENE. Another huge sports week in the Tampa Bay area. So here's the week that was and the week that will be. BUCCANEERS. Coming off a bye week the Pewter Pirates steamrollered the New York Giants 30-7 at MetLife Stadium. Head to Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers on Sunday with the kickoff at 1 pm. LIGHTNING. 1-2-1 this segment for 3 points. Make a quick trip Nashville Friday to take on the Predators in a 3 pm matinee tilt. Then it's right back to Amalie Arena to host the Toronto Maple Leafs with the puck dropping at 7 pm. USF FB. Bulls demolish the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 63-30 on Senior Day at Raymond James Stadium becoming bowl eligible. Travel to Houston for a 2 pm tilt Saturday with the Rice Owls. USF MBB. South Florida competed in the Myrtle Beach Invitational and finished 2-1 and that was good enough for 3rd place. The cagers lost the semifinal contest but sandwiched two wins around that defeat. Return to the Yuengling Center Tuesday to host the Stetson Hatters with the tipoff at 7 pm. USF WBB. The hoopsters lost a heartbreak to the #24 Louisville 64-60 in Orlando at the WBCA State Farm Showcase. This week travelling to the Caribbean for the Cayman Islands Classic to take on the Mississippi State Rebels on Friday and then a Saturday date with #17TCU Horned Frogs with both contests starting at 7:30 pm.
