WHAT'S BROKE AND NEEDS FIXING. I'm going to admit right now that this seems to be broke and needs fixing but what it just may need is some explanation. I'm referring to the NCAA Men's Basketball Selection Committee thought process when it comes to seeding as it applies to the eight teams in the play in games for March Madness.

I am assuming, and that can almost always get you in trouble, that the eight teams in the four play in contests Tuesday and Wednesday were the last eight teams to be selected in the field of 64. If that supposition is correct then why are all four winners not slotted into the #16 line of the bracket. Two winners are #16 seeds but the other two victors enter the bracket both as #11 seeds.

My query is an extremely simple one. It is why the discrepancy in seeding for the teams that survive and advance into the field of 64?

If there is no plausible explanation as to why the four play in programs that now join The Dance then the seeding system is broke and needs fixing. Put all four as #16 seeds. Drop the mic.

Book it Dano!
